Privacy policy
This induction is provided by the Strategic Estates (SE) Central Health and Safety Team for construction related consultants and contractors working on the Parliamentary Estate.
We are obliged to provide all of our construction related contractors and consultants with information about working on the Parliamentary Estate and this includes security, safety, environmental and wellbeing information. It also describes our expectations of how everyone will conduct themselves whilst working on, or visiting the Estate.
The lawful basis we rely on to process your personal data is public task (this lawful basis relates to the functioning of either House of Parliament, which H&S is part of).
This learning management system uses cookies, these are small files that a website transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use a cookie to remember your session ID once you are logged into the learning management system, this ensures that as you move from one page to another, it remembers your session ID and keeps you logged in, until such time as you decide to log out. Cookies are not stored for purposes of advertising or marketing. If you turn cookies off completely, this will prevent the proper functioning of the learning management system and it is unlikely that you will be able to effectively use it.
Your details have been provided to us by the person sponsoring your parliamentary pass in order to facilitate your online induction session, as well as enable us to ensure you are informed of any significant changes or updates to the induction requirements or significant safety/security information while you are working on the Estate.
We will process the following personal data in order for you to access the online induction system and to support any associated administration involved:
- Your name
- Your e-mail address or the e-mail address you can be contacted through
- The name of your employer
- The name of the person sponsoring your parliamentary pass application
- The date you successfully completed this induction
Your data will be retained for 16 months to allow for pass administration purposes. Data will then be anonymised and aggregated to provide information to the SE and system provider’s administrators, and to House Authorities for statistical purposes.

If you do not agree with Strategic Estates holding your personal information, you should inform your pass sponsor as soon as possible, but please be aware that in this situation we would be unable to provide you with an appropriate induction and you will not be permitted to obtain a Parliamentary Pass.
